PROPYLENE GLYCOL (USED IN AIRLY FLAVORS)
The AIRLY Flavors that come in our bottles contain a liquid including water, propylene glycol and the aroma of the chosen flavor. All materials have been tested and are as safe as they are when they are used in producing original snus. The use of propylene glycol ensures both cleaning and humidifying effects of your used snus.
Propylene Glycol (PG) is widely used as a humectant and as an antimicrobial agent in consumer goods.
For a simple example, most vape liquid uses propylene glycol – a completely harmless chemical that also makes asthma inhalers work – to suspend and deliver the flavorings. However, cheap, mass-market vapes have been found to contain diethylene glycol – an industrial solvent which is definitely poisonous.
Propylene glycol is a synthetic, colorless, odorless, tasteless liquid that belongs to the same chemical class as alcohol. It should not be confused with the toxic substance ethylene glycol.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as safe for use in food. It is used to absorb extra water and maintain moisture in certain medicines, cosmetics, or food products.
